PUPILS at a Higham school were thrilled to meet Bafta nominated actor Phil Davis.
The actor held question and answer sessions with all of the senior pupils at Gad’s Hill School and discussed his acting and directing career as well as his lifelong love of Charles Dickens’ work.
Mr Davis was nominated for a Bafta in the best supporting actor category in the 2004 film, Vera Drake.
He currently stars as DS Miles in TV crime series Whitechapel.
Head of the English department, Paul Wadey, said: ""We are very grateful to Phil for giving so generously of his time.
"He developed an instant rapport with the pupils as he discussed his career and affection for Dickens, and was impressed by the range of questions they asked.
"It was clearly a truly memorable day for all involved."
The school's next open day is October 4.
