BORIS Johnson hit the streets of West Wickham to launch his election campaign for London mayor.

He visited the town centre where he met with residents and businesses and explained what he will do in a second term, for the borough of Bromley.

On the campaign trail he went to the Pop-in Parlour in Sussex Road to tell them, amongst other things, how he is committed to keeping the Freedom Pass.

The mayor said: “During the last four years, I have worked hard to deliver for the borough.

“I feel like a man who has built half a bridge. I can see the other side. I can see what needs to be done and that is why I have been out discussing my nine point plan for a Greater London.

“That plan involves cutting waste at City Hall to free up £3.5 billion in services, which will enable me to create 200,000 jobs over the next four years, deliver £221 million investment in local high streets and businesses and make our streets and homes safer with 1,000 more police on the beat.”
