THE murder of a teenager dubbed the "honey trap killing" has been made into a docu-film to be broadcast next week.

Shakilus Townsend of Tanners Hill, Deptford, was murdered in a quiet cul-de-sac in Thornton Heath on July 3, 2008.

Samantha Joseph acted as a honey trap, leading Shakilus into an ambush where he was killed by her jealous boyfriend Danny McLean.

Shakilus was beaten with a baseball bat, kicked and stabbed to death by members of the Shine My Nine (SMN) gang.

Seven teenagers were found guilty of murder in July 2009 and locked up for a total of at least 87 years.

John Boyega who stars as Shakilus, said: "Playing a real person you don't want to mess it up, upset anyone or be too departed from the actual person.

"Shakilus' mum worked closely with us and she gave me her blessing to do this."

The programme titled 'My Murder,' is being aired on BBC Three as part of Criminal Britain, a season of programmes looking at how crime affects the lives of young people.

It will be shown on March 26 at 9pm.
