SHOPPERS had a day out with a difference when they visited Gravesend.
Claws and Jaws, which offers fun and educational school talks on exotic animals and birthday parties, was at St George's Shopping Centre.
Hissing cockroaches, Bob the bearded dragon, Prince the python and Mr fuzz the Tarantula all made an appearance.
Ben Bartlett, who set up the business three years ago, said: "Normally people look at the python and run a mile.
"Once they actually stroke him they realise pythons are not that scary at all. Children are 10 times braver than their parents."
Adventurous shoppers even tried some Bush Grub, which included scorpion and worm lollies, chocolate covered crickets and salt and vinegar worms.
