BROMLEY police want to draw your attention to a card fraud scam where someone calls claiming to be from your bank.
The caller will say there has been a fraudulent payment on your card or it is due to expire and needs replacing.
You may be asked to ring back using the number on the back of your card, which convinces you the call is genuine.
However the caller keeps the line open at their end so when you make the call, you are unknowingly connected back to the fraudster.
They will ask you to cancel your card or authorise a replacement by keying your PIN into the phone.
The fraudster then poses as a bank representative who agrees to collect your card from your home.
Police say your bank would never ring you in this way nor would anyone ever ask you for your PIN.
