AN 18-year-old girl fled barefoot after being sexually assaulted in Dartford last month.
The victim was walking along Rochester Way on February 18, at around 12:15am when an unknown male approached her.
He sexually assaulted her but she escaped and ran down Rochester Way, in the direction of Swan Lane.
She was wearing a black dress and no shoes as she fled, in what police say was an ‘extremely distressed state.’
Police are appealing for witnesses of the assault to come forward and are particularly interested in tracing a vehicle containing ‘young males.’
The victim told police this vehicle slowed down and acknowledged her after the attack but drove off.
Kent Police detective constable Mark Bennett said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was driving past the scene at the time and who may have seen either the suspect or the victim running away.
“The victim was left very distressed by the incident and we would urge anyone who has information to come forward.”
