A green-eyed snapper is hoping his exhibition will help people see Greenwich from a different, more organic point of view.

Tom Dingley’s collection Greens of Greenwich celebrates the borough’s emerald sights, whether natural or manmade.

This show, at Greenwich Gallery in Linear House, is made up of 16 all-new additions to his project which he started two years ago.

The 25-year-old, who works part-time in Greenwich Market, said: “This set I’ve taken since Autumn 2011.

“There are lots of green things in Greenwich - I don’t know whether it’s lack of imagination.

“I’ve lived here all my life and it’s good to look at it in a different way.

“I noticed the shop front of the ice cream shed in King William Walk is all green in the winter when it’s shut.

“I’m seeing green everywhere.”

Tom was inspired to start the mossy project when he left college and there was much talk of Greenwich, The Olympics and living as environmentally friendly as possible.

The current group in this exhibition have all been taken during the winter of 2011 and early 2012 providing a more grey and cold backdrop for Tom's photographed greens.

Past greens have been more luscious vegetation, whereas now, the shutterbug has relied more on the industrial and urban greens of Greenwich.

The exhibition runs between 9.30am and 6pm from Monday to Friday and 12pm to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday from now until March 25.

All prints are on sale, mounted and framed at the Peyton Place venue.
