A GARDENING quiz will raise money for a charity which transforms outside spaces at children’s hospices.

Questions in the quiz at Millbrook Garden Centre in Station Road, Gravesend, from 7pm on Tuesday (March 13) have been set by high-profile gardeners like Alan Titchmarch, Christine Walkden, Toby Buckland and Pippa Greenwood. BBC Gardener’s World magazine will contribute a picture round.

Entry is £2.50 per person for individuals and teams of four and the cash will go to charity Greenfingers. Bring your own wine and nibbles, tea and coffee will be free.

Millbrook’s managing director Tammy Woodhouse praised the charity’s work. She said: “The gardens have outdoor play equipment which is wheelchair adapted to ensure the children in the hospices and their siblings can play together inclusively and we are delighted to be able to help raise money for this excellent charity.”

The event also marks Garden Re-Leaf Day, which is designed to kick-start the gardening year and encourages people to start gardening.
