A DANCE initiative in Hextable has received more than £3,500 from Kent County Council to give youngsters something to do out of school.
Dance 2G – a collaboration between South East Dance Studios and Hextable School – was given £3,866 from KCC’s Youth Opportunity fund to offer the chance to dance to 30 children 11 to 19 years old.
The school’s business and community director Karen Daniel said: “The funding will enable our students to demonstrate their passion for dance and to develop a range of skills that will benefit them in the future. Through the project they will learn leadership skills and grow in confidence, skills that they can share with other young people across Kent.”
