A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy is celebrating after becoming a champion in Muay Thai.
Riley Smith, of Sedgebrook Road, Eltham, has been taking part in the combat sport, which is similar to kickboxing, since he was three-years-old.
Last month he was awarded the Celtic Champion title at the Celtic Challenge competition in Barnsley.
The youngster trains up to five times a week at Nemesis Gym, in Cross Street, Erith.
Lucy Colville, 17, and 11-year-old Billy Oliphant, who also train at the gym, both took the Celtic Champion title for their age groups.
John Gnahore, who coaches all three, said: "I'm very proud. They just overwhelmed their opponents from round one to round five.
"We try to give the kids, and people who come to the gym, self confidence and respect."
