PLANS for new community facilities to regenerate Slade Green are being considered by Bexley Council following a public consultation.
The council showcased its proposals, which will replace the Howbury Centre in Slade Green Road, at an exhibition before Christmas.
They include changing rooms and kitchen facilities at the site to ensure space is used to maximum effect.
The development also includes building around 380 new homes and creating two new primary schools from the existing Slade Green Infant and Junior Schools.
Cabinet member for economic development and regeneration, Councillor Linda Bailey said: "The Council has set aside a significant amount of money, particularly in the current financial climate, to develop and build the new community facilities, but it is still a limited pot of funds that the team has to work with.
"Council officers are talking and listening to residents and will share any changes they have been able to make in due course. “ For more information, go to Bexley.gov.uk
