A SECURITY guard who was stabbed at a supermarket in Lewisham shopping centre has been released from hospital.
Police were called to the centre on February 13 at 11.09am following reports of the attack.
Officers arrived to find the Sainsbury's security guard suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was taken to a south London hospital at the time but has since been released.
A 65-year old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Police said he is currently in a secure medical facility having been detained under the Mental Health Act.
Police cordoned off part of the centre while they investigated the stabbing, and a knife was recovered.
