A BAKER’S wife has hopped into a bath of chocolate covered Brussel Sprouts to promote a new sweet.

Tania Wren who runs The Granary bakery in New Ash Green with her husband, Grant, teamed up with farmers from Southfleet’s Broadditch Farm to create the delicacies.

Brothers John and Mark Harris, who run the farm, came up with the idea when Mark’s 6-year-old son Charlie refused to eat sprouts at Christmas.

Kaz Smith, who works on events for the farm, said: “The brothers joked that the only way you can get a child to eat sprouts would be to cover them in chocolate.

“They then teamed up with local baker Grant Wren to produce the eclectic delicacies.

“These devilish delights have proved very popular with our customers, particularly with our male clientele who are placing orders to give to their loved ones.”
