A MODIFIED scheme to demolish a Charlton warehouse and replace it with 212 homes is set to go ahead.
Greenwich Council’s planning board will decide next Thursday (February 23) on plans for the former Thorn Lighting site in Victoria Way.
It will feature blocks up to six storeys high including 20 houses, 189 flats and three other homes with workspace.
A previous application by Galliard Homes was rejected by the planning board in 2009 due to pollution concerns, but that was subsequently overthrown by the Planning Inspectorate on appeal.
Following that decision, council officers have recommended that the new scheme, now being developed by Fairview Homes, be approved.
