A 40-YEAR-OLD Gravesend man arrested on suspicion of murdering an Isle of Wight teenager has been released without charge.
The man was arrested in May last year in connection with the disappearance of 16-year-old Damien Nettles in 1996.
The teenager was last seen on CCTV following a night out with a friend in West Cowes, on the Isle of Wight.
The Gravesend man answered bail on Wednesday (February 1) and was released without charge on the same day.
A further three men, all from the Isle of Wight, were also released from bail with no further action being taken.
A 38-year-old man from Ryde, Isle of Wight, was re-bailed until March pending further enquiries.
