A BY-ELECTION has been called to elect a new Swanley town centre councillor.
The election has been called for the White Oak ward in Swanley on February 23.
The deadline for registering to vote in this election is Wednesday February 8.
Only residents whose names are included on the register of electors will be able to vote.
Residents who wish to vote by post or by proxy should apply for a form from Sevenoaks District Council by emailing elreg@sevenoaks.gov.uk or calling 01732 227243.
The deadline for submitting a postal voting application form is 5pm on Wednesday February 8 and for proxy votes it is 5pm on Wednesday February 15.
Before election day a poll card will be sent to electors in the White Oak ward detailing the polling station they should attend and the hours of voting.
