PROTECT your valuables by having them security marked by the police at a property marking event in St Paul’s Cray.
Items such as bicycles, televisions, MP3 players, mobile phones, DVD players and many other electrical items can be marked.
The property can either be invisibly marked with a UV pen or permanently engraved with your postcode, both which make it more difficult to sell should it be stolen and less attractive to thieves.
Property marking also assists police returning stolen items back to their owners and helps convict those who handle stolen goods.
The event, which is being run by the Cray Valley West safer neighbourhood team, is taking place next Wednesday (January 18) from 2.30pm to 3.30pm in the car park by The Centre on Cotmandene Crescent.
Alternatively, if you have items you would like marked but are unable to attend this event or the items are too big and bulky, please call the team on 020 8721 2611 to arrange a home visit where they can mark the property.
