IT WAS only intended to be a bag for her spray tanning business but with a little help from celebrity fans Chloe Truczka’s creations have become a runaway success.
The 22-year-old customised a tote shopping bag to carry tanning equipment early last year and did not expect to make any more.
But she was inundated with requests from clients, family and friends so started designing and hand making bags out of the eco-friendly fabric jute.
And after sending them to X-Factor winners Little Mix, the HunniBunni bags have taken off as must-have items across the world.
Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards is rarely seen without hers on her arm and this has led to Miss Truczka being swamped with orders.
She said: “I was screaming when I first saw Perrie with her bag, I could not believe it. I was so excited.
“Perrie has been photographed numerous times wearing it and it seems she is taking it everywhere with her.
“It is amazing to think she really likes my bag and has been showing it off.”
Miss Truczka’s dream is to be able to make a bag for popstar Rihanna but at the moment is too busy ploughing through all the requests she has had.
She added: “One day before Christmas I had about 150 orders within three hours.
“It has just taken off.”
She is working all hours to get the orders completed at her house in Riverside Close, St Paul’s Cray, as each adult bag takes around three hours to make.
Before Christmas she had to take the order form off her Facebook page so she could catch up and it is expected to be back at the end of the month.
But even then there may be a six to eight week wait before customers receive their items because of the popularity.
The criminology and applied psychology graduate is working on developing several ranges of hand-finished, silk screen printed bags so more people will be able to get a HunniBunni bag.
And she has also been asked to design tshirts, babygrows, phone and iPad cases.
