KESTON garden centre are taking part in the world’s biggest bird survery and want as many people to take part as possible.
The centre in Oakley Road is backing the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds [RSPB] campaign to record bird sightings.
They are encouraging bird lovers to watch out for their feathered friends on January 28 and January 29 to provide RSPB with a snapshot of the UK’s bird population.
Garden centre manager Mark Bosworth said: “The Big Garden Birdwatch weekend is designed to help raise awareness of the RSPB and its important conservation work.
“January is the best time to see birds because the often harsh winter weather brings them into our gardens seeking food and shelter.”
In 2011 more than 600,000 people took part in Big Garden Birdwatch and counted more than 10 million birds.
