A GREEN party candidate has launched his campaign to become London Assembly member for Bromley and Bexley.
Jonathan Rooks was joined by the Green Party's mayoral candidate, Jenny Jones, to launch the 10:1 campaign in the two boroughs.
It aims to reduce inequality in the capital by calling for businesses, councils and other employers to ensure their highest paid employee earns no more than 10 times the wages of their lowest paid.
Mr Rooks, 52, said: "We are seeing services being cut locally left, right and centre but are told their huge salaries are justified. Isn’t it time that the councils started setting an example by limiting top pay to just ten times that of the lowest paid public servants?”
