The mayor and deputy mayor of Bexley attended the Rose Bruford College awards ceremony at the beginning of this month to help students celebrate the completion of their studies, in all areas of theatre and related arts.

Following a welcome by college principal, Professor Alastair Pearce, some 200 students stepped up to receive their degree certificates, cheered on by family and friends.

There were also a number of fellowships awarded on the day.

Tom Sutcliffe, counter-tenor and former opera critic for both the Guardian and the Evening Standard was awarded an honorary fellowship.

Former students of Rose Bruford College, Paulette Randall, writer and director, Ben Thomas, director, and Greg Hicks, actor, all received fellowships.
