A DECADE after a 25-year-old Brockley man was shot dead police are offering a £15,000 reward for information about his murder.

On October 31, 2001 Nana Osei-Agyapong was found shot and fatally wounded in his car on Golden Square near Regent Street in central London.

He had been out with a group of friends at the Kabaret Night Club on Upper John Street.

Sometime after 3am he left the club and went to collect his car, a silver Renault Megane, in order to pick up some friends and drive them home.

While he was gone an argument started outside the club and when he returned with his car, it is believed a male suspect fired a shot through Nana's car window, fatally injuring him.

The student was able to drive off but the car came to a stop and police found him at around 3.20am. Despite efforts to save him, he later died at University College Hospital.

A reward of £15,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest, charge and prosecution of those responsible.

An additional reward of £3,000 is offered unconditionally for information leading to the return of the firearm used.

Speaking to News Shopper, Nana’s older sister Mavis Osei-Agyapong said: “This year it has hit us especially hard as it has been 10 years and we still don’t have any answers.

“I have found myself wondering what Nana would be up to if he was still with us. Would he be married, would he have children, would they be playing with my children? These are all things we will never get to see."

The 37-year-old from Mill Hill added: “In 10 years people’s circumstances might have changed and they might now want to come forward.

“Every day since Nana was killed has been difficult and we try to carry on as normal, but it is just not possible without any answers. Please help the family to get some closure.”

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Andrew Kelly said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have information and has not, for whatever reason, been able to come forward until now.

"It is not too late to tell us what you know."

Nana had been living with his girlfriend in Brockley and was last seen wearing a blue and grey jacket, dark blue T-shirt and blue jeans.

He was also wearing a black belt which had a metal Iceberg jeans logo on the buckle, white trainers with a thick blue flash on the sides.

He wore a thick white metal necklace, which had a linked cross with a white stone in the middle and a thick metal lynx-type bracelet.
