MEMBERS enjoyed a perfect afternoon for the WI garden party.
The temperature was just right at 25C, with a blue sky prevailing and drifts of white cumuli and strata.
Members could linger for a while in the garden room, surveying the bring-and-buy objects and raffle prizes.
In the garden there were two very large gazebos.
Around 30 members occupied all the chairs and there was a table on the raised patio.
As members arrived, more chairs had to be found.
During the afternoon committee members were busy organising the raffle and the bring-and-buy sale and making cups of tea.
They were also serving several plates of many varieties of scrumptious home-made cakes.
Members had plenty of time to chat, admire the colourful flowers and shrubs and eat and drink.
The institute meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 2pm in Farnborough Village Hall. All visitors are very welcome.
