BEXLEYHEATH shops and schools could go without remembrance poppies this November unless volunteers step forward.
Due to the scale of the appeal in the area, the local poppy organiser feels that the distribution of poppies is now too much work for one person.
Therefore, The Royal British Legion is appealing for volunteers from Bexleyheath to organise and deliver poppies.
Community Fundraiser at the Legion, Steph Davenport, said: “The role would suit someone who was looking to put something back into the local community, or perhaps a local group who would like to take on a new project.”
Anyone who would like to help out is asked to contact the London Poppy Appeal on 0207 863 3370.
