TIME is running out to nominate an inspirational young person in your community for the Spirit of London Awards (SOLA).
The deadline for nominations is this Friday (August 19), with the 11 categories including Young London Hero and Achievement Through Music.
Last year, two 16-year-olds from Bromley, Jessie Brock and Jessie Andrews, were nominated in the Achievement through Education category.
They both left behind their previous bad behaviour to do a two-year course and become the youngest qualified hairdressers in the UK.
SOLA is supported by Prime Minister David Cameron, who said: “These awards are a great way to recognise young role models in London.”
The awards ceremony takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on October 10, and will include performances by rapper Tinchy Stryder and soul singer Dionne Bromfield.
