A PROGRAMME of cutting-edge animations, music videos, documentaries, shorts and moving image work from young and emerging local talent will be shown in Deptford this Saturday.

Spectrecom Films, in collaboration with Film London's Local Digital Network, ScreenStation and Lewisham Film Initiative (LFI), will host the event, which is part of the Deptford Design Festival.

Now in its third year, the Deptford Design Festival has become a firm local fixture, linking Deptford to the London-wide London Design Festival.

The LDN's mobile cinema will be installed in Spectrecom's state-of-the-art studio and the film day will run from 12noon until 9pm.

Film London's Local Digital Network is an initiative to provide Londoners with new opportunities to screen and see films, video and moving image in their local communities.

Throughout the day there will also be special sessions and demonstrations specifically for young people between the ages of 13 and 25 in editing, camera and careers in the creative industry, plus talks with filmmakers.
