A DOUBLE shooting in Forest Hill could have claimed another victim as a woman’s window was shattered by a bullet as she watched television.

The 35-year-old woman was sitting downstairs with her baby asleep on her while she watched television when she heard a bang at around 1am on Friday.

Just after the bang one of the windows in her house at the corner of Stanstead Road shattered and she ran to the kitchen to see what was happening.

The mother-of-three, who did not want to be named, said: “I heard a car drive out and then I heard two bullets after this one.

“I saw a guy but I do not know if he did the shooting or what.

“I’m still in shock.”

Police say the gunman got a minicab to Forest Hill and got out at Colfe Road where he shot the victims.

Both victims managed to drive from the scene in two separate cars before they called the police.

They were then taken to separate south London hospitals by ambulance.

The first victim is being treated for a gunshot wound to the hand and the other for a gunshot wound to the chest.

Both men, who are both aged 20, remain in hospital in a stable condition.

News Shopper: The double shooting happened near the junction of Colfe Road and Stanstead Road

A Colfe Road resident, who did not want to be named, was woken up by a bang which she first thought was a tyre bursting.

When the 22-year-old looked out of her bedroom window she saw a dark blue Audi A3 screeching off.

She said: “I have noticed the car on the road before. “I’m sure that it was a young guy that was driving the A3 and I’m sure he was topless. I did not see any blood.

“He was a young white guy.”

The mother-of-one added: "I did not think it would happen around here."

Police are speaking to a number of witnesses and want to trace the minicab driver.

He is believed to have been driving a dark coloured people carrier which displayed TfL badges in the front and rear windows.
