A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been found not guilty of rape.

Elvis Tomlin, of Stonegate Close, St Mary Cray, was acquitted of raping a 24-year-old woman at her home on February 24.

The woman told Croydon Crown Court she had taken cocaine and alcohol with Mr Tomlin and two friends.

She said after the others guests had left she went to bed and left him on the sofa.

The woman said: "I heard him come into my bedroom. He put his arm around my waist. I tried to roll on to my stomach but he got on top of me."

She eventually pushed him off and locked herself in the bathroom.

Mr Tomlin said they had sex but he stopped when she told him to.

He said: "Up to then, she had not said or done anything to indicate she didn't want what was happening. She told me to leave and I left."

Mr Tomlin was acquitted on September 8.
