TRIFORUM leader Margaret O'Neill has praised the volunteers who helped with children's activities during the summer holidays.

The TriForum, which covers the community forum areas of Belvedere, Erith and Slade Green, has now added Northumberland Heath.

It has been running summer fun days for children for the past six years.

The free events are held at venues across the forum areas and include sport, arts and crafts, dancing and entertainment.

They are heavily dependent on adult volunteers willing to help run the activities.

For the past three years the TriForum has had help from Barclays Bank volunteers.

Erith councillor Mrs O'Neill said: "I would like to thank all those volunteers who turned out each day to supervise the events and make sure the children were having a good time."
