PEOPLE had the chance to view plans that will see the stores Asda and B&Q share a site in Belvedere.

Organisers say 160 people came to the exhibition at Belvedere and Erith Congregational Church on Picardy Road.

Visitors could see the plans displayed and ask questions of the project team.

Under the proposals, expected to create 300 jobs, the exisitng B&Q would be divided into two separate units - one for each store.

Asda’s senior property communications manager Chris Martin said: “The majority of people agreed that the plans would both enhance and complement the existing retail provision in Belvedere.

“We received useful feedback on the plans, which will be taken into consideration as we continue to work on the proposals.”
