GOVERNORS at a special school have agreed plans to redevelop it on its existing site.
As reported last week, Greenwich Council’s cabinet has decided to rebuild Willow Dene School in Swingate Plane, Plumstead.
Controversial plans to relocate it to a sports field in Hervey Road, Blackheath, have been dropped.
Willow Dene is still housed in temporary buildings, despite the fact it was orginally only meant to be there for three years.
Executive head teacher John Camp said: “We’re over the moon about it.
“It’s just what the staff, parents and children need.”
More detailed plans will now be drawn up for the redevelopment.
