A £5M refurbishment of a leisure complex in Bromley town centre is well underway.
Work on the makeover of The Pavilion in Kentish Way began in May and the whole project is expected to be completed by spring next year.
The new-look centre will provide a state-of-the-art gym, which will open in autumn this year, as well as a 12-lane tenpin bowling alley and a family play area..
People are still able to use the swimming pool and sports facilities at the centre, which is run by the charitable leisure trust Bromley Mytime, during the improvement works.
Bromley Mytime chief executive Steve Price said: “We’re seeing many more people coming to us to improve their health, and the new gym and exercise studios will mean we can meet this demand.”
The scheme is the first major project in Bromley Council’s Town Centre Area Action Plan for development in Bromley town centre over the next 15 years.
