A JAMBOREE is a family affair for a scout and a guide who have discovered they might be related.
James Belsham, from the 4th Barnehurst Scouts, and Amanda Belsham, from the Orpington Goddington Guides, first met at a pre-Jamboree event.
And now the 14 year olds are joining thousands of others from across the globe at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Kristianstad, southern Sweden, next Wednesday (July 27).
Amanda said: “I am very excited to have found a distant relative through the Jamboree experience and am really looking forward to going to Sweden with James.”
And James said: “I am so excited I met a new member of my family through my scouting activities and we can go to our first World Scout Jamboree together.”
