GREENWICH Council is inviting people to suggest where 2,012 trees should be planted.
The Playground to Podium scheme is part of the council’s Olympic and Paralympic Games legacy with 28 locations chosen across the borough.
A public consultation is open until August 12 to find out where people would prefer them to go.
Cabinet member for culture and the Olympics, Councillor John Fahy, said: “2012 trees for the 2012 Games will be a lasting and meaningful legacy from the Olympics in Greenwich and I’m urging residents to get involved and say where they want trees to be planted.”
Street trees are set to be planted along roads in Greenwich, Eltham and Deptford while housing sites in Kidbrooke, Plumstead and Abbey Wood will receive verge planting.
