CHILDREN at a north Kent school will be able to enjoy classes outdoors from September, thanks to a new facility.
Key Stage One children at St Botolph’s School, Dover Road, Northfleet celebrated the official opening of their £2,000 outdoor area on Friday (July 15).
The new learning environment, paid for by fundraising from Friends of St Botolph’s, was opened officially by Gravesham Mayor Councillor Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi.
Children aged five to seven will be able to read in the outdoor space when they return from the summer break in September.
Tara Rickard, secretary of Friends of St Botolph’s, said: “It is just a brilliant environment for them and makes a change from a stuffy classroom.
“It benefits the children and everybody visiting the school.”
