A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault, in connection with an incident in Bexley Village in which a cyclist was knocked from his bike.
The man, aged 29 had attended a south London police station this morning, (July 14).
The arrest comes just a couple of days after video footage of the incident spread across the internet and was picked up by the news media.
Cyclist Simon Page, from Guildford, was with a group of friends riding from Dover to London, on May 15 when he was involved in an altercation with a car driver in Bexley Village High Street.
A fellow cyclist filmed the incident on his helmet camera and after Bexley police failed to trace his attacker, Mr Page posted it on the cycling website road.cc in the hope of identifying the man.
