The Art Appreciation Group 2 of U3A Orpington recently held a fundraising day in aid of Demelza Children's Hospice which needs £5 million to build a new hospice in Eltham.
There was a raffle, books, plants, toys and bric-a-brac stalls.
The day raised £1,325 which when gift-aided should be about £1,800.
Next year the group is planning an open garden scheme, so if anyone in the Orpington area feels they would like to open their garden in aid of Demelza contact Annie O'Sullivan on 01689 839294.
