YOUTH clubs came together for an evening of music to round off a summer season.

More than 200 people watched three bands, all with members under 20-years-old, perform outdoors at Swan Valley Community School, Southfleet Road, Swanscombe.

The event was arranged by eight youth centres, run by Kent County Council (KCC), to mark the end of their summer programmes of events.

Anyone aged under 18 was welcome to enjoy the concert.

There was also a DJ workshop, musical instruments and a barbecue at the KCC youth service-funded event.

KCC Dartford youth worker Martin Wyvorn said: "It was supurb. There were no problems, it was just a musical event for young people."
