AN INFANT school is taking part in a nationwide synchronised walking bus to raise money for a road safety charity.

Pupils and staff at Bromley Road Infant School in Beckenham will join schools across the country at 10am next Wednesday for the synchronised walk.

They will march through the area surrounding their school while holding a banner warning motorists to drive carefully, as will more than 100,000 other pupils across the UK.

The schools are raising money for the charity Brake, which promotes road safety and supports victims of road accidents.

A school spokeswoman said: “The community has really pulled together for this worthy cause and as a school, we continually strive to promote a safe and healthy environment for our students.”
