A HOSPICE is hosting a weekly schedule of activities to become a social hub for the community.
The St Christopher’s Hospice social programme includes events such as a community choir, curry night, quilting group and concerts.
A spokesman for the hospice in Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, said: “Many people are afraid to visit a hospice and do not feel comfortable talking about death and dying.
“St Christopher’s believes that we all have a responsibility to change this and these events are planned in order to offer social opportunities to dispel myths and change perceptions of both St Christopher’s and the people who use the services that the hospice offers.”
