MORE than 1,800 items of lost property were found on public transport in Bromley last year.
Transport for London (TfL) has revealed that 1,863 items were left on buses, trains and trams in the borough between April 1 last year and March 30 this year.
Bags were the most commonly lost items, with 302 found in total, while 266 books, 262 valuables, 257 pieces of clothing and 221 mobile phones were left behind.
A TfL spokesman said: “The variety of property handed in is vast and includes sports gear, folders of school work, toys, power tools, pushchairs, suitcases, walking sticks and even crutches.
He added: “On average one in three items is reunited with its owner.”
