Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the leg near Northfleet Technology College.

Police confirmed they were called to Park Avenue, Northfleet just after 3pm on June 7.

The teenage victim remains in hospital after suffering a single stab wound to his leg during the altercation as the Northfleet Technology College pupil made his way home.

He was with a group of four friends when he was approached by a teenager who was not known to him.

Words were exchanged between the group and the attacker before he produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the leg once.

Detective Inspector Ian Dampier, from North Kent police station, said: “While the friends of the victim tended to him, the teenager with the knife walked off in the direction of Dale Road.

“He was black, aged around 16 and slim with very short hair and was wearing a grey hooded top and jeans.

“There would have been lots of people around making their way home after school and I would ask anyone who thinks they may have information about what happened, to get in touch.

“This was a serious incident and shocking incident for the victim who was taken to hospital where he is today still being treated.”
