YOUNG people in Greenwich are being urged to sign up to the borough’s Summer Uni programme.

The scheme runs from July 25 to August 19 and is open to those aged between 10 years old and 19 years old.

Applications are also open to young people aged up to 25 years old with disabilities or with special or additional needs.

In total, more than 50 courses are on offer including musical theatre, fashion design, and radio production and journalism.

The majority of courses offer the chance to get accreditations which are recognised by employers and educational establishments.

Greenwich Council’s cabinet member for children and young people, Councillor Jackie Smith said: “There’s been a good level of take-up so far, so I would encourage young people who haven’t yet done so, to go online soon and find out more.”

The deadline for applications is July 4. For more information visit greenwich.gov.uk/summeruni
