A team of 12 staff from Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice including the Hospice’s Chief Executive Kate Heaps are set to embark on a tough physical challenge on 17 and 18 June in a weekend of high intensity physical training to raise funds for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

Staff will be asking their bodies to do things that they never thought possible all in the name of raising as much money as possible for a place that is close to all their hearts when they carry out a gruelling workout consisting of circuit training, running, an army assault course and boxing.

The two-day event is being organised by G I Jane Bootcamp free of charge and staff are raising funds for the Hospice through sponsorship. They hope to raise £5,000 for Hospice services.

Stacey Booth, Lottery Manager at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, said: “The G I Jane Bootcamp experience should be fun and empowering but our primary objective is to raise as much money as possible for our Hospice. Times are tough financially but our friends and family have all put their hands in their pockets to support us - they know it won’t be an easy challenge for us to undertake but we’re looking forward to the challenge!”
