AN oddball circus act have no regrets over the performance which saw them booted off TV show Britain’s Got Talent.

Enchantment, a 12-strong troupe of dancers, acrobats and singers, had initially wowed the judges with their display in the show’s first round.

But an operatic semi-final performance with an animal theme saw them face the wrath of high-trousered TV mogul Simon Cowell who questioned why they had been put through in the first place.

Skater Travis Hickey, of Pendragon Road, Downham, said: “I’m very, very grateful to have been a part of it.

“I think our act was absolutely fantastic. We were really pleased with it.” News Shopper: Enchantment in their audition

But viewers and the other judges agreed with Cowell’s assessment and Enchantment failed to make it through to this weekend’s final.

Mr Hickey said of Cowell: “His life force means he’s very powerful and it’s inevitable the dynamic will change when he’s on the show.”

Enchantment was formed expressly to take part in the programme, but Mr Hickley said they would now expand their act.

He said: “We’re going to develop the skills we have and the different acts. There’s a huge amount of talent in the group.”

He said: “For the most entertainment value it has to be Jean.
