A HOUSE which is being refurbished was badly damaged by fire in Dartford this morning (June 1).
Firefighters broke down the front door of the home in Stanham Road and found it was well alight.
The crews had to take out a large section of flooring on the first floor to fight the flames and there was quite severe damage to the front of the property.
But they managed to salvage many of the items which were due to be put in to the home including new doors and kitchen units.
After being called at around 5.15am the crews were there for about 90 minutes.
It is not yet known how the fire started.
