PRICES have been revealed for tickets to the London Paralympic games.

The London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) published ticket prices today, with more than half of them priced at £10 or less.

Applications for the two million tickets will be open between September 9 and September 30.

More than 95 per cent of the tickets will be priced at £50 or less, with 75 per cent at £20 or less.

Prices for tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies start at £20.12, with a top price of £500 for the opening ceremony.

Tickets to the Paralympic shooting and archery events, being held at Woolwich Royal Artillery Barracks, will cost £10 for all sessions and will also be open to general admission.

Anyone wishing to watch the equestrian at Greenwich Park can do so for £10.

Wheelchair basketball tickets at the North Greenwich Arena will cost £15 for all sessions other than the finals. Tickets for the finals will cost between £45 and £20.

London 2012’s Ticketcare scheme is also applicable, whereby any successful ticket applicant with high dependency care needs can apply for an additional ticket for their carer or PA.

Special prices available to children and OAPs mean they could end up paying as little as £5 each.

The Paralympic Games will take place between August 29 and September 9 next year, with 20 sports taking place at 19 venues.
