A 27-YEAR-OLD man who was arrested after a high speed police chase from Bromley to Woldingham is due to appear in court.
Officers began following the Volkswagen Golf after it failed to stop in Westmoreland Road at around 1.10pm last Wednesday (May 4).
And a police helicopter was also scrambled to follow the grey car as it sped along for 25 miles before its driver and passenger abandoned it in Gangers Hill near The Ridge, Woldingham, at around 2pm.
Anthony Murray, from Croydon, was arrested near the scene and has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
He is set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court next Tuesday (May 17).
The other man, who is also aged 27, has been bailed to return to Bromley police station next Wednesday (May 18).
