FIREFIGHTERS freed four people who were trapped in a lift in Dartford last night.
They were called to the scene in Market Square at around 8.30pm and managed to open the lift door from the outside.
It is believed the trapped people had been stuck for around five minutes before the crew from Dartford fire station arrived.
The lift was closed off so no-one else could use it and engineers were called to fix the fault.
A spokesman for the Kent Fire and Rescue service said the lift was in a “commercial building”.
