AS THOUSANDS of families flock to the capital to see the William and Kate tie the knot, the British Music Experience at The O2 is opening its doors for free to children.

To celebrate all things British and in the true spirit of rock 'n' roll, kids dressed up as their favourite rock or pop idol get free admission to the Greenwich museum during the royal wedding weekend, from April 29 to May 2, when accompanied by a paying adult.

While some say Princes William and Harry are Britain's first rock and roll royals, the British Music Experience begs to differ and invites visitors to discover and learn about the real kings and queens of British popular music.

From Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's famous Union Jack dress to David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust costumes and a vintage Amy Winehouse dress, the museum houses a vast collection of iconic memorabilia.
